What a gorgeous bird and treat to eyes. The sound of their wings when they take off or flying very close is truly mesmerising that one can only experience.
It was my dream to capture this beauty from a very long time. And my wish was to see them in eye level and capture it closely. This time Mother Nature blessed me with such a frame I dreamed for.
Thanks to dear Shobi Ettan @shobivdm 💚. Without understanding the bird behaviour and their habitat, it is not easy to capture the photo perfectly. So, he showed me the right place where I can see them in eye level.
We waited in same place for hours from morning to get the perfect shot. So, the efforts behind this frame can't explain in words. But it was worth waiting and an unforgettable lifetime experience. I'll be posting video and I'm 100% sure you will enjoy it.
The great hornbill (Buceros bicornis), also known as the concave-casqued hornbill, great Indian hornbill or great pied hornbill, is one of the larger members of the hornbill family. It is found in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Its impressive size and colour have made it important in many tribal cultures and rituals.
